Additional Cost Activities on July 4

1. Adamah Organic Farm Jewish Permaculture Tour

$15 per adult or child 5 and older—suitable for anyone who can walk up to 1 mile easily. (10:30 AM—12:00 PM and 1:30—3:00, if we get enough people to do both –otherwise we will just offer the afternoon tour)

This is an excellent tour for all! The Adamah Family Farm is just a short walk from the Isabella Freedman campus. As you tour our organic fruit orchards, berry hedgerows, vegetable fields and compost-yard chickens, you will see how we are bringing the commandments in Genesis to life as we "till and tend" the land in ways that enable it to flourish for generations to come. Includes a special compost demonstration: Psalms teaches that “the stone that the builders overlooked will be the cornerstone of the third Temple.” We are turning ‘waste’ into valuable fertilizer for our fields — something you can learn to do in your own garden. You can also go visit our onsite goat farm and see the goats get milked in the late pm!

2, Biking—$20 per adult or per child (limited quantities) for a 2 hour  Scenic River ride or ride to a great waterfall!

Also, limited number of  child options for trailer ( ages 2 to 4, if they can sit well on their own), child bike - 5 and above and trail a bike— ages 4 to 6) - $20 each, quantities very limited!

Waterfall Ride - 6 miles roundtrip

Visit the nearby Great Falls, in Falls Village - scenic and stunning, with great views of the falls.!

Scenic River Ride - 12 miles

This is a wonderful and easy to moderate bike trip mostly along River Road, alongside the Housatonic River for much of the time. At the midpoint you have a beautiful 150 year old covered bridge that you will visit in West Cornwall, CT. The trip is 12 miles long roundtrip and takes about 2 hours from start to finish.

You can also take an adult bike out for the day for $35.

3. Housatonic Boating Option—Canoe or Kayak! @ 12:45 PM - 4:30 PM

Canoe - $39 per person, up to 2 adults and one child 5 and above per canoe ( when two parents come, the child is free—as us about rates for single parents with a child and families with more than 1 child)
