Highlights of the Weekend

Davetrek Adventures is having a Summer Getaway, this year a shabbaton at a new location, Berkshire Hills Camp Eisenberg in Copake, NY, which is 2 hrs north of NYC and 2hrd 45m from Boston. Its near where NY, MA and CT meet, and its only a 15 minute drive from Bash Bish Falls, the highest waterfall in MA, within feet from the NY border. We are also near the  Grieg Farm, open daily from 10am - 8pm, which has goats you can feed and will be in the midst of Strawberry Picking season during our stay.

The Shabbaton will start on Thursday, June 18th and go until Sunday June 21, 2026 as many may have off for Juneteenth, which this year is Friday, June 19th.

The facility has a beautiful lake, nice grounds, a separate recreation hall and dance room and a shul onsite as well as some good kosher food and an eruv.

We will have kosher meals starting as of Thursday dinner  on June 18th and ending as of Lunch on Sunday, June 21, with Shabbat services with a torah and a minyan and some classes.

In terms of activities, they have a stunning lake and an outdoor heated pool. The lake is really nice  and is pictured above , they also has some wildlife like some resident turtles and a dock  that extend over the lake that you can walk out to.

They also have some hiking trails on and off site as well as a ropes and zip line course which we can make use of for a few hours each day only on Thursday and Friday– more details to come!

Facility Details & Room Types - Lake View vs Forest View

For those curious, the facility has two sides to it, a retreat side with nice 1 and 2 star bedrooms and a camp side with a lake between the different sides. The rooms are clean and basic  and each room has its own bathroom and each has a dual use cooler and heater that you can control for your room. See pix of some of the rooms here.

Certain buildings have  rooms in the front facing the lake  and also rooms in the back of the building which face either a forest or a field. There are limited numbers of Forest View rooms so get them while they last!
