The Sharon Historical Society presents: The Great Attic Classic Tag Sale and Silent Auction. This tag sale happens once every three years, giving our donors time to gather truly great things for our sale.

July 4th: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Free admission to the public (with "early bird" admission for $10 from 9 - 10 a.m.)
July 5th: 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Free admission, Silent Auction runs through event until Sunday at noon

 

Through the Seasons: Japanese Art in Nature At The Clark

Seasonal change and depictions of the natural world have formed a core in the repertoire of Japanese artists throughout the ages. Through the Seasons: Japanese Art in Nature brings together traditional screens and scrolls and displays them with contemporary ceramics, each work emphasizing the inspirational role of nature in Japanese art.

For all ages and abilities. All materials will be provided. Students will use watercolors from tubes and palettes and large postcard-sized paper that can be mailed. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No registration required. Heavy rain cancels this event. This program is supported by Berkshire Bank. $5 per day per person

Rise Up! Rise Up is an 8-week program filled with lots of education and rhythm. Styles vary from Latin to rock to hip-hop. Students learn the basic fundamentals of drum rhythms and techniques. Taught by Chris Hairston, these drumming classes are very diverse in sound and provide a wide span of educational opportunities.
